Claiming Your Creative Identity

Claim your identity. Own it and feel it. Whatever role you choose to play, you are that role, whether you are actively engaged in it or not. Whether you are penning the next poem or writing your next book, you are the author, whether a pen is in hand or not. All experiences are accruing and building before the vibratory being of such manifests as the letters on the page. You are continuously pouring into others' experiences, just as they are pouring into yours. Each one is adding to your masterpiece, whether you or they are aware of it at the time.

In whatever doses or amounts you choose to embody and allow, it and all are the essence of you—the author, the director, the artist, the entertainer—producing or manifesting into the form of the book, the song, or the painting. It is never the soul or the purity of self that is penned, but the self that is colored by all others around you and the degree to which you've felt and absorbed their beings that produces the beauty of the art being formed through and for you.

Enjoy it all. Create through these experiences, knowing your being is the ultimate filter and sponge, absorbing that which you’re experiencing and exposed to. You decide to what degree it gets to play in your final cut. Take it all in; keep what benefits you and your creation that represents you, which you want to present for yourself and others to see. You are the ultimate filter. It is through your lens that you view the kaleidoscope of life in the way you desire. Adjust your lens accordingly.
