The Power of Perspective and Choice

Let your mind wander only to where you want to go or how you want to feel. As you know, this is the precursor to where you will actually go. We don’t say "end up," as there is no end. You may believe there is an end to a particular subject matter, but there isn’t—maybe only a pause. However, it’s the same with each step along the way. Just as with the graph showing the waves of your life, whether you recognize it or not, there is no end, only where you choose to focus along the way: respite or rest stops.

Like on the PCT, the stops for food and water are not the ultimate destination; neither are your goals of where you want to be. They’re just milestones, perhaps trophies given or created by you. You could mark time in any one place, but you are still moving on your wave, even if it doesn’t seem so. It may be a period of slow movement, with the waves on your graph barely undulating. But put passion toward a project or a desire, and the waves increase in speed and size; the frequency is heightened, making you more relevant and more heard.

You are always free if you desire to be so, no matter what your shackles may seem in your physical location. There are people incarcerated who are more free than those on their yachts. It’s a freedom of the mind and of the soul. Know that whatever you’re focusing on, if it doesn’t bring you the feeling of pleasure, just back up and turn your gaze to that which pleases you. Take a beat, take a walk, step away, and look from a different perspective—a different viewpoint.

It’s amazing how quickly your thoughts will change, and in turn, your situation will follow. It has to; it’s the law and has never been disproven. So even if it’s just moving your desk if you’re in an office setting, or something less extreme, like walking to a different room or moving your chair, breaking the bond of the bondage that is holding you or keeping you from flowing will allow you to form or create a new bond, if desired, that will give you the result you seek or feel good about. That is what it’s all about: feeling good, no matter the topic. Feeling good is serious business from where we stand.

Love doesn’t do justice to the powerful beam of energy that surrounds you. You are protected, cherished, and valued. Yet, you are free to choose whatever bond you like, whatever formations you make (think of chemical bonds). Covalent or not, you are all part of a myriad of bonds throughout the galaxies and the world. Some bonds are strong and set, while others are tentative and easily broken. Your thoughts and energy via those thoughts are the solvent to break and create any bond desired.
