Tuning IN: the Power of your Body and Focused Awareness
All is happening now at once, only differentiated by your focused attention. Like a corral around livestock, your attention is you focusing and corralling the energy into a certain grouping. You can focus on that grouping until it doesn’t feel good anymore, then regroup and focus elsewhere. All bring with it the emotions stirred within you when you are pointed in that direction.
You may withdraw your attention; sometimes effort may be required because your attention is firmly entrenched there, on that certain clump of energy. However, if you back up or zoom out to see more of what is occurring on the broad spectrum of galaxies, or if you choose to keep it close to you, as in your focused physical attention, it is the same. Back up to see more of a situation, then lasso your attention to either where it is drawn based on your desire of how you want to feel or by the level of activity it is garnering.
If you choose to only focus on the activity, it may feel as though you are not in control. But you are. Tune into your physical body often. Check in with your somatic feelings. Your body is constantly and consistently giving you guiding direction, but you may have grown tone-deaf to it. Reintroduce yourself to the sensations by sitting quietly with your eyes closed and focusing only on your breath. Notice what arises within your body. Listen to it. Follow what is soothing. Notice and become aware. You’ll be able to notice with practice, even in more active surroundings. Test this in your physical environment. Focus on what causes your cells to be happy. Your focus, your choice.
