The Power of Stillness: Connecting to Your Inner Truth

The space between is more potent and can be considered more important than the letters, words, or symbols. Between the thoughts and in the void is the knowing of all. Rest in that space. Now, and whenever needed. It is the concentrated, non-diluted truth of you.

The space in the rest, when the idle chatter—either spoken or running rampant in your mind—is dull and adds background noise enough so that the sounds of silence or your true voice can be heard. It may sound like a whisper at first, but it is anything but. It is the strong, steady hum, the continuous vibrational tone that is ever-present, so that it is almost not heard in your day-to-day life. Yet, it is the only thing that remains clear, unwavering, and consistent. Flowing continuously with strength and resolve, it is never harried or frenzied.

Unwavering in its consistency, it may frustrate you for not "being on your side" or for not coming to you in distress. It is there for the comfort that you seek, the only comfort needed, but it will not traverse to any level that you may have ventured to that is anything other than perfection. When there is static or it seems it is not there, it is only indicative of the distance you may have traveled away from it, or of the mounds of static you have garnered along your path that keep you from your truth.

All will dissipate with the void and the silence, melting like hot butter in a pan. It doesn't have to be drastic; in fact, it will be felt as an inkling of comfort and familiarity, like a warm blanket or a favorite article of comfort. Listen and know that it is your source, your connection to all that is, and is always and forever for you.

When life or circumstance feels bleak, cold, or lonely, seek comfort in the space, in the void of all else. Quiet your mind with white noise and feel for the connection that is there, always calling. Release and allow the return to your source, the wellspring ever flowing and steadfast. Rest in the sounds of silence. Anywhere, anytime, no matter what; you are the object and focus of the attention.
